Enrollment & Registration

Lorena ISD provides online enrollment and registration services for parents.  Parents of new students will begin the enrollment process online and complete the enrollment in person. Parents of returning students will register/update their student's information online every summer through their PowerSchool login.

Pre-K and Kindergarten Eligibility & Enrollment



Any child who resides in Lorena ISD and will be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the current school year is eligible to attend Lorena ISD’s full-day kindergarten. 

  • Kindergarten MUST be immunized for DTP, Polio, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hep-A, Hep-B, and Varicella (Chickenpox) 


A child who is four (4) years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year is eligible for a pre-kindergarten program if the child meets one of the qualifiers listed below:
  1. Unable to speak and comprehend the English language;
  2. Economically disadvantaged (qualifies for free or reduced lunches);
  3. Homeless;
  4. The child of an active duty member of the armed forces, including
    state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who
    is ordered to active duty (must be on active duty the first day of
  5. The child of a member of the armed forces, including state military
    forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or
    killed while serving on active duty; or
  6. The child is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adverse hearing. This also includes children who have been adopted or returned to their parents.
  7. Is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as:
a. a peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code;
b. a firefighter under Section 3106.003, Government Code; or
c. an emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code.

New Students Enrolling for 2020-2021 


Step 1:   Please begin to gather the following documents.  You will have the ability to upload the documents in our online enrollment system.  

- TWO proofs of residency (Ex: residential lease, electric, gas, sewer, or water utility bills with Parent(s)/Guardian(s) names and address on statement. Must be current. No final or disconnect notices accepted.)


- Student's birth certificate  (Be prepared to upload a copy, but understand that an original copy must be made at the school in August, as required by the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 63.019)


- Student's Social Security card


- Student's immunization record


- Parent/Guardian photo ID 


Step 2:  Complete an online form linked below in your preferred language:

Step 3:  LISD will contact parents for follow up documentation if required.  Students are not officially enrolled until all documentation is complete.  


*Please note: LISD staff will not be processing student enrollments on the first day of school, Aug 17, 2020.  On day one, all employees will be focused on the students who have completed enrollment processing prior to August 14th at 3pm.  New families seeking enrollment can begin the enrollment process by filling out the online paperwork, then please wait for the campus Registrar to follow up with you regarding additional information needed.  No visitors are allowed entry to the campus at this time.  Follow ups will be conducted through phone calls, emails and virtual appointments if needed.



2020-2021  Returning Student Registration

Who: For any student that was enrolled in a Lorena ISD school on the last day of the prior school year.


When: Registration for the 2020-21 school year for returning students will open July 27, 2020.  Expect to receive an email on the 27th.


How: Parents will receive an email on July 27th with links to update their student's registration online.   A separate email will be sent for each child, the email will contain a link to the Snapcode. 

     What's a Snapcode?  By clicking on the link, you are automatically entering your child's snapcode.  The snapcode is like a key to your child's Registration for the upcoming school year.  Each child will have a unique link.


Important: Please complete registration as soon as possible.  All students must have online registration complete by August 7, 2020.


Students going into grades 3, 6, and 9 are required to provide proof of residency.  In addition, verification of residency will be required anytime there is an address change, regardless of grade level.
