Enrollment & Registration

New Student Online Enrollment Applications for 2024-2025
 
The 2024-2025 New Student Enrollment application is now available online.

Your child is a new student if one of the following applies:

  • The student has NEVER been enrolled at Lorena ISD.
  • The student was not enrolled at any Lorena ISD campus on the last day of the prior school year.
  • The student was previously enrolled at Lorena ISD, withdrew, and is now returning.
 
Start preparing now by collecting the following documents which will be necessary during enrollment:
  • TWO proofs of residency (Ex: residential lease, electric, gas, sewer, or water utility bills with Parent(s)/Guardian(s) names and address on statement. Must be current. No final or disconnect notices accepted.)  Please understand that if you enroll online prior to July 1, then we will ask for an updated copy of your proof of residency prior to school start in August 2024.
  • Student's state issued birth certificate  (Be prepared to upload a copy, but understand that an original copy must be made at the school, as required by the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 63.019)
  • Student's Social Security card
  • Student's immunization record
  • Parent/Guardian photo ID 
  • Guardianship papers, if applicable
  • A parent/guardian personal email account is required to enroll a new student.
For tuition Pre-K, all documents must be submitted for your student to be placed on the waitlist.

New Student vs Returning Student

New Student - Your child is a new student if one of the following applies:
    • The student has NEVER been enrolled at Lorena ISD.
    • The student was not enrolled at any Lorena ISD campus on the last day of the prior school year.
    • The student was previously enrolled at Lorena ISD, withdrew and is now returning.
 
Returning Student - Your child is a returning student if they were enrolled in Lorena ISD on the last day of the prior  school year.  Returning students complete Registration in July 2022. 
 
 

Pre-K and Kindergarten Eligibility & Enrollment

Kindergarten

Any child who resides in Lorena ISD and will be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the current school year is eligible to attend Lorena ISD’s full-day kindergarten. 

  • Kindergarten MUST be immunized for DTP, Polio, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hep-A, Hep-B, and Varicella (Chickenpox) 

Pre-K

A child who is four (4) years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year is eligible for a pre-kindergarten program if the child meets one of the qualifiers listed below:
  1. Unable to speak and comprehend the English language;
  2. Economically disadvantaged (qualifies for free or reduced lunches);
  3. Homeless;
  4. The child of an active duty member of the armed forces, including
    state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who
    is ordered to active duty (must be on active duty the first day of
    school);
  5. The child of a member of the armed forces, including state military
    forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or
    killed while serving on active duty; or
  6. The child is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adverse hearing. This also includes children who have been adopted or returned to their parents.
  7. Is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as:
a. a peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code;
b. a firefighter under Section 3106.003, Government Code; or
c. an emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code.

2023-2024  Returning Student Registration Email Coming July 17, 2023

 

Who: For any student that was enrolled in a Lorena ISD school on the last day of the prior school year.

 

When: Registration for the 2023-2024 year will open on July 17, 2023. Look for email with directions to begin.

 

How:  The parent or guardian email account listed as "primary contact" will receive an email with links to update their student's registration online.   A separate email will be sent for each child, the email will contain a link to the Snapcode. 

     

What's a Snapcode?  By clicking on the link, you are automatically entering your child's snapcode.  The snapcode is like a key to your child's Registration for the upcoming school year.  Each child will have a unique link.

      

Important:  All returning students must have online registration complete by August 4, 2023.

 

Students going into grades 3, 6, and 9 are required to provide proof of residency.  In addition, verification of residency will be required anytime there is an address change, regardless of grade level.
