Mr. William Woody, LISD Board Member, passed away on Tuesday, December 18. Mr. Woody was our board secretary and was a legendary Ag teacher at Lorena ISD. His students won numerous state championships and other honors under his leadership. He was currently in his 18th year as a school board member and had served the Lorena community and schools for over 50 years. He represented everything it means to be a Lorena Leopard.
Funeral services for Mr. Woody will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 22, at Lorena High School Performing Arts Center with Pastor Matt Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.
