Ryan and Vrana bring home another National Title

Lorena ISD students Bethany Ryan and Megan Vrana won first place in the Public Policy Advocacy Level 3 category at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America National Competition held in Washington D.C. July 6 - 10. The Level 3 category is made up of 11th and 12th grade students.

This is the second straight year Ryan and Vrana have won a national championship. In 2025 they won first place in Level 3 Entrepreneurship.

The Public Policy Advocate category recognizes participants who demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and ability to actively identify a local, state, national, or global concern, research the topic, identify a target audience and potential partnerships, form an action plan, and advocate for the issue in an effort to positively affect a policy or law.
