Students shine in Academic Rodeo

Lorena ISD students competed in the the Heart O’ Texas Academic Rodeo, and enjoyed plenty of success.

 

Cody Page was the Grand Champion in the 6th grade Social Studies Competition. Ellie Wilson was the Reserve Champion in the event. Natalie Harper finished in third place. In the 4th grade Social Studies Competition Noah Ocampo placed fifth. Ethan Moore finished in third place in the 5th grade Social Studies Competition.

 

A trio of students had top five finishes in the Math Bee Competition. Adeline Lannen finished in fifth place in the 1st grade competition. Sammy Wilson was fourth in the 4th grade division. Summer Larsen was fifth in the 6th grade competition.

 

In the Spelling Bee Competition 6th graders Laredo Wynveen and Natalie Harper were oral bee qualifiers, and will compete in an oral spelling bee on October 6 to determine the Grand Champion. Lannen was fourth in the 1st grade competition. Copelynn Larsen finished in fifth place in the 1st grade competition

 

The Heart O’ Texas Academic Rodeo gives 1st through 6th grade students an opportunity to compete in the Spelling Bee and Math Bee. The Social Studies Bee is open to 4th through 6th grade students.
