Lorena FFA students Aberle Abel, Calee Scoggins, Jaxson Kees and Kate Swain all competed in speaking development events at the Bosque River District competition on February 19. Each student won first place in a combined five categories helping Lorena win the Sweepstakes award as well.

Abel claimed the top spot in Technology and Communications. Scoggins was tops in Agribusiness. Kees was first in Extemporaneous Public Speaking and Plant Science. Swain won in the Animal Science category.

Scoggins and Swain also ran for district FFA office and both were inducted as Bosque River District Vice Presidents.
