For the first time in school history Lorena High School was presented with a UIL Lone Star Cup Trophy. The school won the 2021-22 Class 3A UIL Lone Star Cup. The trophy presentation took place during halftime of Lorena’s football game against Cameron at Leopard Field.
The Lone Star Cup is awarded to the top earning school in each of the six UIL classifications. Schools earn points based on performances in UIL Academic, Athletic and Music championships.
Lorena finished the 2021-22 school year with 96 points, finishing nine points ahead of Holliday. 13 different programs at Lorena High School contributed to the winning point total.
