State Results:
Lorena High School students excelled at the Texas History Day this weekend and are now moving on to the National History Day competition in June!
Fiona Fulton earned second place for her historical essay "Rosie the Housewife". This is her second straight year advancing to Nationals.
Mackenzie Block, Lexie Caro, Anna Lail, and Isabella Phillips also advanced with a second place showing in group performance for their play "A Nation to Gain: Suffragettes Communicating through Tactics".
All of these ladies will be competing in the National History Day competition this year! Congratulations on this great achievement!

Regional Results:
3rd Place Senior Division Individual Documentary - Matthew Steinke for his documentary "How Cinema Communicates America's Changing Perception of Vietnam."
1st Place Senior Division Historical Paper - Fiona Fulton for her paper "Rosie the Housewife: Propaganda for Women to Leave the Workforce after WWII" Fiona also won the Ada Margaret Smith Award for the Most Promising Young Historian at this year's fair!
1st Place Senior Division Group Performance - Mackenzie Block, Lexie Caro, Anna Lail, and Bella Phillips for their play - "A Nation to Gain: Suffragettes Communicating Through Tactics".
Fiona, Kenzie, Lexie, Anna, and Bella will be advancing to the Texas State History Day in April.
Additionally, Dr. Greg Borchardt received the Calvin B. Smith Award, which is presented to the most outstanding participating teacher at the Heart of Texas Regional History Fair.
