LHS Summer Library Schedule

Cargill Gives LHS Library $200 Grant  

The Lorena High School library has received a $200 grant from the Cargill Community Scholarship Program, administered by Future Farmers of America (FFA), in conjunction with a $1000 scholarship awarded to senior Cameron Anderson. As a part of this scholarship, Cargill also provides grant money in Cameron's honor to the LHS library to be used for library needs.

Librarian Dail Sams plans to use the grant money to purchase print and audio books for the LHS library collection. "This was a totally unexpected gift for our library, and I'm very appreciative to Cargill for their commitment to education in the communities where their employees live and work," said Mrs. Sams.

Will Dwornik Wins Reading Scholarship

Senior Will Dwornik is the recipient for this year's $500 Reading Scholarship. This scholarship is given annually by the LHS library to the senior who has earned the most AR points during his or her high school career. Will has earned 916.5 AR points during his time in Lorena High School.
